I initially bought the Monster Paint Set for the washes in order to paint my Minsc and Boo mini from the Adventurer's Set. There are several nice paints included, and anything you don't have you could very easily mix. The Owlbear mini is really nice, and mine had next to no flashing whatsoever. Additionally, included papers have links to the Army Painter site, where you can find tutorials on how to paint the included mini. I would keep in mind that this paint set does not include a brush, unlike the Adventurer's Set, so make sure to have your own or grab that set as well.
