We are very pleased with the Blue Fly-Thru Bird Feeder. It is an attractive deep blue color that looks quite nice in a natural setting. The feeder is lightweight yet feels sturdy. The wire hanger makes it easy to reposition on different branches and feeder poles. Its roof protects the seed well in wet weather. I was concerned that the feeder might be difficult to clean because the metal screen is not removable. This has not been a problem. The feeder is so light and compact it is easy to clean in a sink or with a hose outdoors. The birds took to the feeder within a day. One unexpected benefit has been that the feeder almost exclusively attracts smaller bird species. These include finches, cardinals, black-capped chickadees, and sparrows. We have a larger pole-mounted, uncovered feeder, which is often overrun by city pigeons and squirrels. The compact feeding area of the Blue Fly-Thru Bird Feeder seems to discourage larger birds and even squirrels!
