I have found these patches very useful on annual long-distance walks to repair minor wear and tear inside my walking shoes, and help prevent or minimise friction on blister spots. The patches are expensive so I cut them to size and use them selectively, but ultimately they've enabled me to get hundreds more kilometres of use from my walking shoes and helped maintain my feet in good condition over thousands of kilometres.
