We booked two rooms as we were taking F-I-L for a long weekend break. The rooms were laid out lovely, very clean. The receptionist was very welcoming, Dexter (our dog) was given a tray, water dish , treats and a tennis ball on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, every member of staff was welcoming and friendly, towards humans and dogs alike. We stayed in 2 of the garden rooms, these were perfect as Dexter felt like he had his own private garden to run and chase his ball, there was a bench outside the room where we could sit and throw his ball, it was a lovely sun trap. The food was very nice and beautifully presented. I have to say that the portions were very generous and even my partner struggled with some of them and he has a massive appetite. We were fortunate enough to visit on the weekend of the Roll Royce/Bentley rally was being held at nearby Burghley House, and some of the participants were staying at the hotel. This was a real treat as we got to look around the cars of those staying, as well as going to visit them at the rally. I would highly recommend this hotel
