It's very light weight and responsive. I've use it both in both choppy sea conditions and on a flat calm, minimal flow river. It performed very well in both situations. It provides a strong and reliable paddle stroke and I seem to glide further per stroke than with my previous paddle. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it as an upgrade.
