The best compact stroller I’ve owned!. I am a mother of three and have owned close to 20 strollers and I was curious about the compact size of the Colugo compact stroller I would see on my Facebook feed. The quick fold, carrying strap and being able to fit in airline overhead compartments drew me in.
When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised that it was already assembled and I just had to remove the protective padding. A second box was included and it had a liner with a matching print to the canopy, a carrying backpack, a cup holder and a rain cover. I could not believe ALL of this came for $285 as other companies charge extra for accessories.
I do like the removeable liner and love that it is washable. My toddler can be quite messy with snacks, so this was a great feature. It also has padding which adds to comfort.
Adjusting the harness straps for my child’s height was very simple and the instructions it came with are clear. The magnetic closure is like a puzzle piece and with a wiggly toddler, it can be a bit cumbersome. The straps, when tightened and shortened, overlap one another so, as another reviewer said, they are a bit “strappy.”
I was worried that as a compact, lightweight stroller, it would be flimsy, but it is not. My 30 pound 8-month-old is quite comfortable in it and the push is so easy for me. My older, 40 pound child has also sat in it and I can easily steer it one handed and make quick turns. I also like how far back it reclines and how the footrest can be put flat to offer more nap time support.
For a compact stroller I was surprised to see how much storage the basket really offered. I am able to fit my purse, my child’s skiphop zoo backpack, a lunchpail for snacks in my 24 ounce water bottle with no problem. I can access the basket by reaching from all sides.
The brake is put into place by using the bottom of your foot so it is sandal friendly. I also appreciate the mesh material that can be exposed to allow more air flow. This helps my kiddo not overheat on warm days. The canopy is very large and offers the shade I was looking for. Again, I was surprised by this feature because other compact strollers I have had are lacking.
The fold really is as effortless as the videos in the ads I saw made it look. I can store the stroller behind the driver’s seat of my car for quick access.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I recommend it to everyone who asks me about it when they stop me on our outings. The prints are attention grabbing and the value in the features, make it easy to rave about.
