Our neighbourhood squirrels are happy with our daily offering. They have a definite preference for walnuts, but never refuse a hazelnut. They leave us a gift every now and then which I had no idea squirrels would do. Granted, the gifts are nothing we want, nor need so are discreetly removed to the compost bin, but it's the thought that counts.
