Our first cook was a lamb -- came out great! We did, however, tweak the cross a bit: drilled holes through the ends of the crossbars for wiring the legs in place; also drilled holes through the "locking" pins so we could secure them with wire (like hitch pins), because the diameter of the pins was too small for the holes -- the detent buttons didn't catch at all. Next tweak will be making the upright reversible -- we had to lay the half-cooked lamb and cross on foil, pull the pins, slide the upright out and run it back through the other way in order to flip the lamb vertically. Doable but awkward! All in all, however, a well built piece of gear and a very enjoyable cook -- with delicious results!
