This is the third Cozy Cave we have purchased over the years. We had one for our last dog which we replaced after it it got pretty gross from trips to the kennel and just couldn't be washed. The second one spanned the first dog and then the second dog until the plastic hoop support just wouldn't stay in place anymore. With that one, we'd also long since replaced the stuffing with foam padding. We finally realized that one had been around since 2016 and was pretty sad looking so we ordered a new one. I was afraid our dog wouldn't take to it right away as it wasn't hers and didn't have the right smells. She went bananas over the unpacking of the box. The new bed had so many smells on it, she couldn't get enough. My husband put it under his desk where the other one had been and she took to it immediately. There has been no issue and it's like we've always had this one. A great bed, especially if you have a burrower/dachshund.
