The mount was extremely well machined and finished. Impressive. Because the S&W Mdl. 41 has a two-unique two-piece slide, I was unable to use my sight pusher machine to remove the OEM sight and install the base. I put Kroil on iron sight and it punched out with moderate hammer blows using brass punches. The RD sight mount went back into dovetail with more deliberate hammer blows, so the dovetail fit is perfect. Holosun 507COMP (green laser) was easy to mount, and my old eyes are happy again!
