This is a sweet campsite hosted by a wonderful set of camp keepers! We appreciated the camp shower and found it super refreshing on a hot weekend. The amenities provided by our keepers were better than many other sites we've camped at, including a great fire pit that didn't need cleaning, wood, hygiene items, soap, water. The creek itself is not large enough for much more than minnow- or toad-watching, but still offered beautiful scenery and sounds. This is a fun site for bird watching / listening, lots of eastern towhees who like to flirt if you whistle at them, also some red-tailed hawks who browse the field above the site. Wine berries happened to be ripe when we were there and we foraged to make a delicious compote! But they're good straight off the plant, too. All in all, a lovely site only 1.5 hours from Philly.
