I choose this fan as it has a wired wall switch without a battery. I have 14/3 wire between the fan and switch but could have gotten away with 14/2. Remotes can get lost and the switch is much neater. Plus is that it also has remote as a back up. Although I prefer the clean look of the basic Lutron fan/light switch, this still looks better than some competitors. It is quiet and my main regret is that I wish I had gotten the 5 blade model instead of 3 for more air movement.
