I bought this for my Japanese Spitz who is very fluffy and WAS yapping constantly at people who walking past the gate. I did have to shave a small section of hair inch by inch and a half over her vocal box. This is just because she has a double coat like a Samoyed and I needed the prongs to have contact with skin. It now works perfectly. She is still happy and even still might bark once and run around and play and even single to me someone is at the gate. But she stopped the 50 in a row 20 minutes non stop barking. Stopped. It’s AMAIZING. My other Spitz is still yapping while the one with the collar is standing next to her quiet. and I’m almost saved up for another bark collar for that one because it’s been such a success. :) I’m very happy as it doesn’t seem to have hurt my beautiful dog at all. Also, I can’t see the section of shaved fur as my Spitz is so fluffy.
