Looking for something for my 5-7 year olds came across RCGEEKS. Read a few of the reviews and ordered this (And another for myself.. what?)
Anyway, what a great little car. You can set the speed on the controller to a bit slower if it's gong too fast for your little ones. So far it's taken a bit of punishments in the form of trees and kerbs and has kept going.
It's capable of going very fast, good springy suspension and manoeuvres really well round corners.
Highly recommended for getting into Remote Controlled Cars.
