“The glove builder process was easy with a lot of options. The glove I received was exactly the glove I built online. The glove arrived on time for Christmas as promised. It’s a great glove and my son loves it.
There are 2 downsides but not enough to warrant taking a star away.
1. Some of the colors do no match. My son wanted cotton candy colors. They do not offer the exact same shade of pink and blue that they use for the leather in the laces. Very close, but not quite the same color.
2. I ordered it “game ready” broken in, and it was still very stiff. I had to pay extra to take it to a sporting goods store to have it steamed and broken in.”
“I ordered my glove just before Christmas time and got one for myself as a Christmas present. I was also curious with 44 gloves because I’ve seen a lot of people with these gloves. One thing I noticed immediately was I didn’t like how the glove was formed. I do 2 on the pinky with my gloves and I want the thumb to ring finger when I close the glove but the 44 I got closed more like thumb to middle finger which I wasn’t a big fan of. The glove also closed awkward in a way like the thumb was slanted when you closed the glove. Maybe it’s because I haven’t broken in the glove fully yet but even the A2000 or heart of the hides close thumb to ring when you do 2 in the pinky and the thumb is straight. Another thing I noticed with my gloves is there’s no thumb padding for the top of your thumb so the glove gets uncomfortable on my hand when I wear it for a good bit. I also wasn’t a big fan of how heavy my glove feels which also helps with the glove not being super comfortable on my hand. It might also be because they had to rush the glove out to get it to me before Christmas which I did get it before Christmas. There are some things I really like about the glove like it’s a good quality leather and I really like all the custom options they have with the glove. The price is very affordable too and they always have some kind of sale going on with their gloves. I think 44 has a great idea going on with their gloves but I was a little disappointed on the craftsmanship on my glove and it could’ve been better but maybe it’s different for all the gloves they send out. I still recommend 44”
