“I purchased a custom youth infield glove from 44, and overall I was very impressed with the appearance and craftsmanship. The production quality was excellent, the custom colors and design came out exactly as I envisioned, and the glove looks amazing.
My only concern is the break-in process. The glove is extremely stiff and has taken much longer to break in than expected. It’s so rigid that my son has a difficult time using it during practices and games. We’ve put a lot of effort into working the leather, but it still hasn’t softened enough to be game-ready. At this point, I’m not sure if it will ever become as soft and flexible as a youth infielder’s glove needs to be.
If 44 could find a way to make the break-in process easier while maintaining the same outstanding quality and customization, these gloves would be nearly perfect.”
“The package went missing and they are unable to track it due to the choice for their logistics partner. It took weeks to find out where it was and to get them respond. In the end they declared it missing. This whole process took 2 months. And their customer service is entitled and unprofessional. I recommend another glove manufacturer. Period.”
