“I typically wear loose fitting clothes that do not get heavily soiled, so it is hard to tell how well they're working. I have a lot of delicate, organic material, plant dyed clothes that i bought them for but that also means only washing on cool/quick settings which doesn't activate them as well. I've read you can put them in hot water first to activate them and then add to a wash - still hard to tell as my clothes and linen don't really smell or get stained. Luckily in my local supermarkets there are environmentally friendly powders available, otherwise I would be more inclined to use these instead.”
“I use these for about 99% of our washing and they are brilliant. If you've got something filthy then have a look at 'dirt' detergent which will do a better job. I have both and that's the laundry sorted, and no nasty plastics into the bin.”
“Bought this as l want to cut down on plastic and use this for many things. I've just made shampoo with this in the hope for it to settle my dry and sensitive scalp.
Will see how it goes but l have high hopes for this.”
“These soap berries are a great eco friendly alternative to harsh chemicals and powders. I have found that they don't work as well with heavily soiled clothing however. Once I am finished with them I boil them up to make dish washing liquid and then compost them.”
“Great product. Before purchasing I used these at a friend’s house and was surprised how effective they are. I use these in combination with the Tuff Stuff bar give a great result. I’ll never go back to polluting powders snd plastic containers!”
