“I was really excited to try these soapberries as the reviews were all round positive. And I must say that they do clean, but I have noticed that I don't get the same level of clean as per other powder detergents. Some of my clothes still have some stains and a slight musty smell to them, even after two washes. I am still giving it a go and have been using it on items that aren't as soiled or only need a light wash. I do like the zero waste aspect and perhaps will try replacing them sooner - it seems to be washed out by 4 washes.”
“I use these all the time now, and have been using them for roughly a year now. They leave my washing feeling clean and fresh. Only downside is you may need to spot clean items more, as they don't clean stains very well.”
“I use these in my washing egg instead of their pellets and it has made washing so easy in our household. Everyone knows just to pop the egg in and turn the machine on. Plus all the clothes come out nice and clean and no more skin reactions from clothes. Win win!”
“I’ve only been using them for a couple of weeks and so far I really like them. They don’t leave a smell on the clothes and the clothes seem to come out clean. If you have have really dirty or stained clothes you’ll have to tend to them a bit differently but overall great job”
“My daughter’s eczema halved within a week of using these. That alone gives them 5 stars from me, but they also leave the washing smelling fresh & save heaps of water because the wash only needs one rinse. They won’t clean heavily soiled items without pre soaking but neither do other washing detergents. They are a bit different & take getting used to but are definitely worth trying.”
“Using these for the first time I was a little skeptical. I boiled them in water as I usually do a cold wash and it went super bubbly and soapy. They have a slight vinegar smell so next time I'd consider ordering the tonic to give my washing a more pleasant smell.”
