Organic Hair Dye Variant 1 / Caramel Shadow 100g Reviews

I really wanted to love this product, but after using it three times, I am still left looking for something better. I couldn't find supply of my regular henna (I've been henna-ing for years) and so I purchased Strawberry Shadow which seemed like a very similar colour, which it sort of was. The good: The colour after a couple of weeks is a nice strawberry blonde. My hair felt incredibly soft afterwards, moreso than other henna I've used. The customer services was pretty great when I contacted them about the issues I was experiencing (though it didn't ultimately solve my problem unfortunately, but they tried). It's easier to wash out than other henna due to being a smoother formulation. The bad: The colour for the first couple of weeks throws quite yellow and is a bit more vibrant orange than the softer strawb blonde I prefer (the customer service staff sent me some samples of another product to put over it but: a, I don't want to have to do another step and b, unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue, but I appreciate them trying to help!). Even when following the instructions to a T, the coverage is patchy where I have white/grey hair. It has to be left on for a lot longer than the henna brand I was using previously - 1.5 hours vs at least 4 hours.

PROS: -colour as pictured (if dying from light blonde) -easy to mix -fades nicely over time -can freeze leftover dye for next top up -no scalp irritation (for me, anyway) CONS: -unusual smell (smells like clove) -doesn't come with gloves (I just washed my hands once I'd finished applying the dye. Dye didn't stain my hands). All in all, great product, wonderful results, would highly recommend. ☺️

Beautiful, rich colour, lasts about 5-6 weeks (before greys resurface) and lots of compliments in the meantime! My only advise: read directions WELL in advance, follow the directions exactly and experiment with the activating (ie apple cider, diluted lemon etc - see instructions) to find what works for you. I’ve been using this product for a year and love it (if tried other henna products and use to use chemicals, before I decided they were too harsh). I recommend this brand unreservedly, it’s hands down THE BEST!

I don't dye my hair at all and I wanted to try something natural. I was abit nervous to see what the outcome would be to my hair but it's great. My hair is a light brown with abit of blonde and the colour of my roots are all full of colour now because I had light brown/blonde hair the roots at the front would be that light it kinda looked abit empty and grey looking. The process to make it was straight forward and applying it on was pretty easy. Would definitely use it again

The depth of colour and all natural ingredients has definitely won me over. No nasty smell or itchy scalp unlike so many other products out in the market. I’m definitely a repeat customer in future!

Honestly love this dye. I feel like I'm nourishing my hair instead of killing it with chemical dye. And the colour is rich and deep. Lasted 5 weeks, until my greys grew out.

I find the chestnut shadow to not leave greys "wiry" this changed my greys from white to a golden red/brown colour but they still were "unruly". I have very limited grey hair so this has been fine for me. I will try the chestnut shadow and then put this on top a few weeks down the track and see what happens. I have found desert shadow to be a really good product. If anyone is hesitating, just follow the instructions and give it a go - I think you will find it's not difficult.
