Organic Hair Dye Variant 1 / Caramel Shadow 100g Reviews

5 Rating 241 Reviews
I love the Desert Shadow Hair Dyes, they cover my greys and leave my hair soft and shiny. It does take longer than the chemical hair colours but doesn't make my scalp itchy. Essential to wash out thoroughly. And I mix colours to achieve the result I am after.

In an effort to remove nasty chemicals from my life I'm transitioning from chemical dye to henna and this product worked safely. It was amazing to have coloured hair that was healthy after the processed rather than damaged. Instructions are good, process simple and the scent herbs smell amazing. Didn't cover my darker roots so I am going to try a darker shade.

Beautiful, deep, rich colour, with excellent coverage for grey hair. Once you get used to having to start the mix several hours before, it's easy. And well worth it if you want to colour your hair but are allergic to all regular hair colours, including the so called natural ones from the health shop.

Originally I purchased this beautiful colour to go under the walnut brown to return to my natural hair colour from platinum blonde. However I loved this perfect deep very natural looking orange that I'm keeping this colour until the regrowth is unbearable :) you also very quickly realise why they add the spice mix and I hope everyone enjoys smelling of pumpkin pie spice

Beautiful colour, the smell is earthy and inoffensive. When I first tried it I had had bleached hair so it took a few trys to get the colour on the packet, but even from the second dye it was like the copper colour which is also beautiful. Hair colour gets darker the more you use it, and my hair tends to soak up more red tones than brown. I will continue to use this brand for the foreseeable future

I've never used a henna dye before so didn't know what to expect. The whole process requires a few hours, to prepare the mixture, let the mixture sit and apply to hair and sit in hair. It's very messy to apply, like mud, it went literally everywhere, so prepare your area with old towels and definitley get those disposable plastic hair caps. Your hair will smell kinda like a dirty hippie for like 3-4 washes. BUT it actually works and my hair was really soft!! If you are wanting a natural colour with no chemicals, you have to work for it girl ! No easy street. I would use again but let your partner know in advance that you will smell like a Gaia goddess that has been living in a rainforest for a month.. haha

I really love this product. It's natural, eco friendly and no nasties incomparable to the products sold in the supermarket or chemist.
