“I use the desert shadow pre wash bar as suggested for stubborn grey hairs and the walnut shadow works well for me. Follow instructions for grey hair and add Apple cider vinegar and salt to help it stick. Takes a bit of preparation and forward planning but much nicer than putting chemicals on my head. No headaches from fumes either. Definitely worth the added effort for my healths sake.”
“This is the product that introduced me to the wonderful world of F&F. In 2018, I developed an allergy to conventional hair dye leaving me with welts around my hairline every time I went to the hairdresser. With each monthly visit, the welts became bigger and angrier. “I followed Desert Shadow's recommendations for stubborn greys and used this dye before applying Chocolate Shadow. Yes, the initial startling red colour was a bit of a shock but all was fine once I followed up with Chocolate Shadow. I have short hair so would divide each box in 2 portions so would last me for another session. The overall effect is a deep rich brown colour with burgundy highlights resulting in unexpected compliments! Wonderful product, worth the effort of double dye sessions.”
“My journey with F&F started with needing to dye my hair due to developing an allergy to commercial hair dye. This occurred after 22 years of going to hairdressers. I had greying dark brown hair and over 2 years, have used Chocolate Shadow first along with Red Shadow for stubborn greys. I then changed to Walnut Shadow as the greys were becoming more widespread and I felt the Chocolate Shadow was starting to look too artificial with my older features. The leave-in time is so long, if you can speed it up with heated caps or at a hairdresser it would be a great idea.
I have only one issue- the smell is revolting, and it sticks to your hair for a few washes.”
