“I’m a long time rider first time bike device person. The Garmin 1050 has a big bright easily interactive screen. Functionality seems mostly intuitive. Next challenge will be importing ride maps from others apps such as Ride with GPS and OSmaps but folks seem to have worked that out so I’m sure I will too.”
“Upgraded from my Garmin Edge 830 and the first thing you notice is the extra real-estate that comes with amazing brightness and clarity.
A few weeks of use and I find that every function is quicker from connecting my various sensors, GPS, the uploads of rides....etc.

“Great computer, 4 stars because it's so so so big...I had just spent $250 on new mounts that were specific to the lights/camera's I was using, which were nice, aluminium, and literally had to turn around 2 weeks later and buy all new mounts because this 1050 was so large it wouldn't fit on them, so I wasn't happy about that. And garmin mounts are all cheap plastic ones. Very nice piece of kit though, so I am looking forward to riding with someone who has one so we can try the group ride functions.”
“Huge upgrade over my existing Garmin Edge 1000. The screen is so much brighter and higher resolution (nearly as good as my Iphone), the battery life is incredible and the navigation is so much more responsive when I am following routes. The "cherry on top" is the bell. I can now clean up my cockpit by ditching my mechanical one. Highly recommended.”
