“Returned Carrier as it wasn’t suitable for a large EMTB as the grab bar couldn’t clamp on the thick e-bike frame. There was a tube top adapter bar mentioned in the manual which could be purchased separately. When contacting Yakima Australia I was told that this tube top adapter wasn’t certified in Australia and NZ for the use with this bike rack.
Also one needs to be carefully reading the compatibility notes for towbars in their manual. In my case I couldn’t find a Towbar with a 8cm flat area forward from the centre of the towball that would fit my Tesla. Towball compatibility is finicky too with this system. Which is why they are supplying a towball with the rack. But check the Towbar measurements against the manual or the system will never be secure even if indicating green!
Overall, if you are lucky and both your Towbar and Bicycle are a fit, it would be great and easy to use practical system.”
