“Regret choosing bone conducting headphones. OpenRun pro 2 is a refined product that rates better than all its competitors, but frankly it's 1) just not loud enough, which I only have myself to blame for having noted prior to purchase it was widely reported in reviews, and 2) uncomfortable for the bone transmitted sound compared to just a very basic entry level over-ear Jabra headset I use at work. I find myself wanting to take these bone conducting headphones off. They are convenient when I'm out walking the dog, in the sense of being minimalistic, but when I take a call I receive comments that I'm hard to hear - and that is instantly fixed if I can swap for the over-ear headset. In terms of loudness I'm quite frustrated that when roadbike riding the Pro 2's at max volume can't even compete with the sound of cars quietly moving past. Maybe music won't be an issue but forget about trying to listen to a podcast which is my main habit.
And when I try wearing these for an extended period I get pressure soreness.
All round just a mistake, the technology as expressed in Shokz most refined product, the best available on the market, just is not up to everyday use and definitely not something that works cycling.”
“These exceeded my expectations. Sound quality is much better than my old Powerbeats in-ear headphones. Comfortable to wear. Battery life is good but with the extra base mode I think they only do around six hours which is still very good. 99 Bikes were the cheapest and delivery was extremely quick. I would definitely use them again and will consider getting an e-bike from them.”
