Shift Sleeper Sofa Reviews

It's the sleeper sofa that works the day and night shift with equal grace. First things first: Shift makes for a stylish, supportive couch that can fit just about anywhere, because this is Burrow, and so of course it comes in easy-to-manage boxes that you can fit up steep stairs and through narrow doors. But it really shines when you have guests: the seat unfolds to make a genuine queen-sized sleep surface, and the arm cushion inserts can be removed and slipped into standard pillowcases, saving space in your linen closet. With Shift, you're truly be the host with the most.

Poorly made! Didn't fit together very easily. Way over priced.

This is a really neatly designed product, and the ease of assembly is really amazing. I was able to assemble the couch by myself. Unfortunately, it is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on: it is rock hard, with minimal give. I have tried on 5 different occasions to sleep on it and can never get comfortable. I bought this as a fold out bed for my guest room and I’m now just trying to figure out how to pass it on to someone else, because it is so uncomfortable, I could never let a guest even try it!

Not comfy . Fabric is too rough. Doesn’t look as good as I was hoping.

This has fit perfectly into my space! I was a bit worried about how it would fit through the doorway (I've had that issue with other sleeper sofas), but the 'build it yourself' system with Burrow worked great for this constraint. The sofa was easy to assmble (took ~1.5 hours to do by myself). So far my guests have said that the sofa is firm but comfortable overall. I am curious to see how it holds up over time but the first month has been great.

Update: I've had it for two months. It is not suitable to use as a bed. And definitely don't use the arm cushions as pillows as advertised. I've had all-over-body-aches every morning and my neck especially has been compromised. In contrast, the few times I've spent sleeping in "real" beds during this time period, I awoke with zero bodily pain or discomfort. Previous review: I have had it for about a month so cannot speak to long-term durability. It is very firm. It looks quite nice. It is mostly comfortable to sit and sleep on. I like firm but it is too firm as I awaken with many more body aches in the past month than I used to. Note: I use this bed and sofa 24/7 as I live in a microapartment. It cleans up ok but the fabric seems to be very weak when my cats sometimes put their (trimmed AND plastic-capped) claws to it. Putting sheets on it is a pain as you kinda have to break your fingers trying to shove the sheets in far enough in the back two couch corners to prevent them from popping off. Assembling it was physically difficult as nothing quite lined up. Delivery and setup was horrible because after I started to assemble it, there was a piece that had a major manufacturing flaw, thus a three week delay to receive the new piece. They also sent me 5 new pieces instead of just the one defective piece. Those extra four then had to be thrown in the trash.

The Sleeper sofa is comfortable, easy to open, and good looking, just what we needed for our ADU. An adult, a baby in a travel crib, and a large dog slept on it simultaneously. Looking forward to setting up a second Sleeper, which just arrived, in the home office/guest room. One note on assembly.. it's not difficult but a bit heavy so best if unboxed and assembled with two people.

Easy to put together and comfortable, my only complaints are that the back of the sofa slopes down slightly and prevents you from sliding a floor lamp base underneath, additionally, the black brace that holds the back pieces together is slightly tilted. Otherwise, really happy with the purchase.
