“Totally disappointed. We own two other nomad sofas that we purchased several years ago. We love the way the cushions have kept up over the years with our kids that we decided to add yet another one to our new house.
This time around, however, I noticed that the online page had an option for a thicker cushion. I thought naively, "Good for Burrow, adding an upgrade option! But as for me, seeing my existing nomad couches, I'm happy with the exact seat dimensions that the current couches have, so I wouldn't opt for more cushion lest it reduce the seat depth that works so well for me right now."
I ordered the three seater nomad sofa with the expectation that it will match exactly the ones I have at home (one three seater, one four seater).
Once it arrived, we excitedly assembled the sofa. To our delight, the fabric was very satisfactory. To our great disappointment and shock, however, the seat cushions have way more give than the my older ones which if anything, should be thinner and flatter after years of heavy use; and the back cushions were absolutely different - thinner, lighter in weight, and rendering the seat depth to be noticeably deeper that I can no longer comfortably sit but have to be further back and have my feet uncomfortable dangle or scoot forward and have zero lumbar support that creates a gap around my lower back, making it impossible to stay in that position.
I wish I had known that the upgrade option was probably actually the "original version" with full cushions, and the one advertised as a regular option is really a downgrade in cushion amount from the one I bought several years ago! Such misleading representation. For the same, if not more, amount of money, I got a worse sofa with less materials used.
I have no time to deal with the hassle of returning it and paying extra money to buy the upgraded fuller cushions. It is such a pity to learn that the company that once earned my trust with their quality workmanship is now proving my choice to be a return customer to be a mistake as their commitment to quality over the years is declining for money and cheap misleading tactics. Would not recommend.”
“We live in a house with a narrow staircase that goes upstairs to the room where we needed a couch - the Nomad Sofa was the perfect choice because one person could easily carry the three main sections up the stairs and then put it together in 10 minutes. Quality is also great - would recommend Burrow to anybody!”
“This couch is super cute and really easy to put together. It’s comfy and firm. However, I flopped down on it and heard a crack - though everything seems okay, I’m wondering if this couch is of lasting quality.. it also arrived with a thread pulled from one of the cushions, which isn’t a big deal unless it becomes the first of many. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it, but it’s only been a few weeks.”
“This couch is classy looking and comfortable, but not a simple assembly whatsoever. The three seats attached easily, but the armrests on both ends did not fit on properly and it took hours of maneuvering to finally get the perfect angle so that I could fasten them on. It seems like a manufacturing issue with the fit. The dust cover on the bottom of the couch was also attached poorly, with many of the staples missing the fabric. My nomad couch arrived within the delivery estimate and packaged well and they have great customer service.”
