AKRacing has come a long way since their inception in 2001, where their focus was solely on the production of race car seats. The AKRacing brand was previously known as AK Seat. Fast forward to 2008 and AKRacing now specializes in producing premium and ergonomic gaming and office chairs and equipment.

The AKRacing brand was introduced into the Australian market back in 2015, where they continue to operate out of the leafy green suburb of Kirrawee. AKRacing now has distributors all over the world - America, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Tahiti and Europe, just to name a few.

Something that sets AKRacing apart from their competitors is that they do 100% of their own designs, R&D, product development, testing and quality control. AKRacing highly guarantee their products, as they manufacture every single part, which means that they do not have to source these components from other suppliers, allowing them to ensure the quality is always consistent.

“This chair is worth every dollar I paid, it was easy to assemble and is very comfortable. My backpain is gone and I can now enjoy sitting at my computer for ours on end and I can even concentrate much better and at the maximum height it is perfect for me. I use to work in retail and that old chestnut saying "If get what you pay for" is true you pay $500 and you get a chair that is worth every dollar.”

“Overall a good chair, however a couple of small things: Don't lean forward on this chair to pick up something from the floor - they tip over really easily (found that one out the hard way!) and the arm rests move out of position with not much force at all, you can't really lean on them unless you have them on the most outward setting. Still a good chair, love the colour, and the seat itself is very comfortable, especially with the adjustable lumbar support.”

“Chair is fantastic and shipped super fast. Great size for my quite bulky frame. The only let down in the process was terrible service from TNT couriers which is out of AK's control. Now I'm just trying to budget 2 more... 1 for my wife and 1 for work.”

“Got it and was sceptical as I've bought a few "gaming chairs" only for them to be uncomfortable or just bad. After setting it up (easy as) i sat in it for the first time. And I will admit I was stunned. Comfiest chair I've ever owned. 10/10 comfort and room and im not a small guy, it has eliminated my back pain caused by inferior chairs. If I ever need another chair this is the one I will be going with. Perfect.”

“Best purchase I made! I am a larger person and was looking for a comfy chair with a wider seat and if possible, flat seat (no wings) It took me about 4 weeks to jump in the deep end and purchase this online without being able to test it in a store first. The order took less than 5 days to come from the east coast to Western Australia. Assembly was straight forwards, although I did use the online tutorial as the included instructions were a bit to small for me to read. It took me around 20 minutes to put it together on my own. It is only early days yet, but so far I can not find fault with it! It is extremely comfy, perfect size for my large body. The wingless seat is great, as I don't like the 'hugging' feeling of other gaming chairs. Seat padding is excellent with the right amount of firmness to have a fatigue-less day at the desk! The lumbar support feels great once adjusted to the right height. So far I have not noticed any squeaks or rattles. The other thing I have noticed is that by the end of the day my ankles are not as swollen as they used to be on my old chair (I have lymphedema in both legs) I presume that is because of the way the seat does not dig into the back of my legs. $499 was a large outlay for me but so far it was well worth it. The only 'negative' thing is that the chair didn't come with instructions of all the adjustments you can use. I finished up just pushing and pulling and finding all the buttons on the arm rest (outside of armrest is a leaver for up/down, inside is a button to move armrest closer or further away from you, and it can be pushed or pulled forwards/back to get the perfect height, distance and position) The swivel function of the armrest is something to get used to, as I use them to push myself up and off the chair and they have a habit of swivelling while I do that. A locking button for that feature would be great. Found the way to unlock and adjust the tilt/rocking feature. Overall great product, will give it 10/10. Was just sad that the purple model was not available so choose the blue one. My old office chair was breaking, so couldn't wait for the purple one to get back in stock. Sad times. But that is just a cosmetic thing and does not affect the functionality and overall feel of the chair! Last but not least, I showed the chair to a friend of mine and he was surprised about how comfy it was. He has been hesitant to buy a chair like this online because there is no retail outlet nearby to test drive the comfort and feel. But he is thinking about getting one now!”
