This chain-driven sliding gate opener is designed with a 120V AC (3/4 HP equivalent) motor. It provides exceptional starting torque and continuous operation, and can be used for most applications. It opens gates weighing up to 1,400 lbs or 40 ft. in length (a 20 ft. chain is included; if your gates are more than 20 ft in length then you can purchase an extra chain). Additional accessories are included: (1) Photocell Sensor; (1) Wired Push Button; (1) Metal Box for Keypad; (1) Wireless Keypad with Backlight

“I found the aleko site on line, I thought that the AC 1400 was a good deal, so I ordered one. Then they started to lie to me about when it was shipped (3 times they lied),then they told me that it was on back order after they told me 3 times that everything was in stock! And one time they even said that it was allready on the truck! So I called them to cancel my order, the girl even sent me a e mail confirmation that it was canceled, and that I would get a full refund, and a couple of days later, they said that they were sending the unit to me! I had allready ordered one from a more reliable source and I got it in 3 days! Be careful, they don't like to answer the phone, and when they do, the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. I did finally get a refund after I sent them a copy of the e mail that they sent me.”

“Definitely not a commercial brand whatsoever. DoesnвЂ™t last forever. Seems to have problems. I bought several of them and finally gave up. I made sure the motor matched the size of the gate. Still had problems with magnets and drive motor”

“Lots of power in a small package. I chose it because of the good reviews. The kit is pretty complete and I can't think of anything additional they should have included. The quality and engineering of the parts is very good. My gate is an 18 foot long 6 foot tall, 2 inch square steel frame slatted with wood and probably weighs in at about 500 pounds. First off, as a former aviation mechanic and technical writer, it's apparent the instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English. There is a lot of interpretation to be done, but it is doable. I set this system up with the infrared eyes, hard wired open and close switches, and an my own external power switch at the base of the unit. One of the drawbacks of this system is it does not provide for a Knox type switch for Fire Department override and entry. My way of getting around that is to put the Knox switch in parallel with the hard wire switches and provide directions to turn the power switch off af”
