“I read the reviews on these before I ordered them and I read a review that said the fit of the crotch is weird. I wish I would have listened to the reviews before ordering. The pair I ordered fit weird and I don't feel comfortable wearing them in public.
I ordered the black pair, and I wouldn't say the color is black. The color is more of a charcoal. I was hoping to wear these for work, but because they aren't black, I feel like they look less dressy. I was going to order the white pair, but after receiving these I will not be ordering a second pair.”

“I’m 6’2”, 160, and the medium extra tall are just a bit loose but in a good way. I haven’t owned wide leg pants in forever because most tall pants aren’t long enough but these are AMAZING. The fit is super flattering and the fabric is SO soft, I wish I could by them in 20 different colors and wear them forever.”
“Do you value comfort in your work wardrobe? Are you always cold and happen to live in a place that leans into cold temps for a substantial part of the year? These pants are for you. The fabric is soft and flowy, yet substantial, so the wind doesn't blow right through you. There's enough flex and give to be able to wear leggings or base layer under them for extra warmth without anyone noticing. I'm going to be forming a work uniform for next winter that includes enough of these and the base layer to wear every day of the week.
I have 2 pleas though.
1. More colors please. My personality does not mesh well with the traditional black or navy. Also, white or very light colors are a no go for me.
2. Can you use this same formula (fabric, rise, etc.) on pants with a flair or boot cut?
I'm 6'0, 160-170 lb. With a 36" inseam. I got size large tall, and the length and rise is perfect, but I could maybe try a medium tall.”
“The pants felt great, fit great at waist/hips. But wow. They were weirdly long. I am 6ft tall and ordered "tall" - I was stepping all over the bottoms. Not sure what's up with that because other pants I ordered from AT were appropriate lengths. Wishing they would have worked for me but alas.”

“These are my favorite pants ever, and I have been getting them for years. The fabric and fit has 100% changed since my original purchase. My new version of these are too big (despite being the same size), and simply don’t fit as good, I’m feeling like they’re falling off by the end of the day. I thought I was crazy until I put on my old pair and they fit like a glove all day. Really confused (but still wear them everyday), and just can’t convince myself to repurchase in a smaller size for the price. I’m a huge fan of American Tall but frustrated with the change here.”

“I do love these pants. At first they feel soft and high quality material but over time and after just a few washes, the material has thinned and balled up. I just do think they are high quality enough to be $89.”
“shrinkflation has hit my favorite pants!!!! I ordered a pair of these in May 2025 in the color black (m, tall) - they are my favorite work pants. I don't wear work pants very often, but when I do - these are my go to. I recently reordered another pair and was DEVASTATED to find out the proportions have all shrunken - waist is 1" narrower, the hip is 2" narrower, the rise is 1" shorter and the length is 1" shorter. WHAT THE HECK!!!!!! I wish I could upload a photo of the pants laying over each other - they don't even look the same size. Go figure, just when you find a store that actually fits you with stylish items, the quality plummets. I expected better. SMH.”
