“Really disappointed with the quality. I’ve had these pants for less than a month and only washed them once, and the threads are already coming loose and fraying. I expected them to hold up much better, especially for the price. Is it possible to get an exchange for a replacement pair?”

“First the pros: Very comfortable pants and the length is just right to wear with sneakers or walking shoes. I bought them in black and added a black and white striped tee, a belt and a jean jacket and it was a great look. Now the bad news. They are not a true black rather, more of a faded black. The fabric must be different on different colours because other people have complained about the material being too thin and that is not the case with the "black" pants however, they have already started to pill after wearing them around ten times and that's not cool for the price American Tall is charging. Also, they stain really easily which was surprising, and the stains seam to stay even with proper laundry care. The waist seems to have loosened and the overall structure feels sloppier now. With the right fabric, these pants would be a total winner and I'd buy them in mulitple colours, but right now? They are a miss for me. Keep the design, invest in better quality fabric. Tall consumers are willing to pay for longer lengths and quality clothes, but we aren't stupid. These are $121 and the fabirc is really sub-par.”

“Loved these when I bought a pair a couple years ago. Turns out that was one of the only pairs of pants that still looked good on me postpartum! Unfortunately when I recently reordered, the waist is about one inch smaller than it used to be, and the length is at least an inch shorter, so they are much too tight at the waist. I probably won’t be able to wear my new pairs for months if I’m lucky now. Bummer. I was really excited for them. I have to say I love American Tall and whenever I’ve had issues they have always been responsive and helpful! It just seems like almost every order I’m getting something replaced or exchanged.”

“I read the reviews on these before I ordered them and I read a review that said the fit of the crotch is weird. I wish I would have listened to the reviews before ordering. The pair I ordered fit weird and I don't feel comfortable wearing them in public.
I ordered the black pair, and I wouldn't say the color is black. The color is more of a charcoal. I was hoping to wear these for work, but because they aren't black, I feel like they look less dressy. I was going to order the white pair, but after receiving these I will not be ordering a second pair.”

“I’m 6’2”, 160, and the medium extra tall are just a bit loose but in a good way. I haven’t owned wide leg pants in forever because most tall pants aren’t long enough but these are AMAZING. The fit is super flattering and the fabric is SO soft, I wish I could by them in 20 different colors and wear them forever.”
“Do you value comfort in your work wardrobe? Are you always cold and happen to live in a place that leans into cold temps for a substantial part of the year? These pants are for you. The fabric is soft and flowy, yet substantial, so the wind doesn't blow right through you. There's enough flex and give to be able to wear leggings or base layer under them for extra warmth without anyone noticing. I'm going to be forming a work uniform for next winter that includes enough of these and the base layer to wear every day of the week.
I have 2 pleas though.
1. More colors please. My personality does not mesh well with the traditional black or navy. Also, white or very light colors are a no go for me.
2. Can you use this same formula (fabric, rise, etc.) on pants with a flair or boot cut?
I'm 6'0, 160-170 lb. With a 36" inseam. I got size large tall, and the length and rise is perfect, but I could maybe try a medium tall.”
“The pants felt great, fit great at waist/hips. But wow. They were weirdly long. I am 6ft tall and ordered "tall" - I was stepping all over the bottoms. Not sure what's up with that because other pants I ordered from AT were appropriate lengths. Wishing they would have worked for me but alas.”
