“Upon opening, I was initially thrilled with these pants. I got an extra tall as I typically wear a 36” inseam. They were much too long for me so I took them to be tailored. With one look, my seamstress said “those will draw up, you should wash them before I hem them”. I took the pants home (with not alterations made), washed them on delicate with cold water (as indicated on the label), and they came out of the wash so TERRIBLY MISSHAPEN that if I hadn’t spent so much money on them, it’d be comical. I have laid them out to air dry but I am not very optimistic. I didn’t even get the opportunity to wear them! As a customer that has made several purchases from American Tall, I insist you beware of buying these pants!”

“I loved these initially but DON’T wash them! I followed the care instructions to a “T” and they shrunk down to skinny bell bottom flares on me! Awful for the amount of money you spend on these. I wish I could add a picture because honestly it’s laughable. I don’t know how they are still selling these with the amount of complaints.”

“Yes, they shrink after washing. But if you give them good ironing, they restore the form. Not just steaming, but ironing with pressure. I even put them into the dryer. The material is resistant to low hit. Give it a try. I have a picture before and after, but unfortunately I can not paste it here.”
“I rarely leave reviews but the poor quality and hours of work it takes to make this pant suit wearable after washing led me to want to warn others. I wore this one and washed on low spin, cold water, low rinse using delicate detergent. As others have stated the top and bottom came out looking like toddler clothes. I gently reshaped the items while wet and allowed them to dry flat. You can use a cool iron to attempt to get them back to the size of purchase, however this took hours, upon hours, and they still are not right. The issue is mostly the waist band shrunk and the cuffs of the sleeves shrunk and neither will lengthen with the iron. Beyond that, the quality of the sewing is very poor. Threads are unraveling on the cuffs of the pants, inside the band of pants and on the exterior by both pant pockets. Save yourself the money and time and buy from somewhere else.”
