“The problem with CQG Desktop is they made it too good. So they placed server settings in that disable the advanced feature you really want. It's totally implemented. It may even work once for you. But next time you log in it'll have stopped working. Your settings are still the same. But you don't have that key feature. It doesn't work. Obviously, CQG Desktop is a funnel advertisement for CQG One. The message is clear: you must pay four times more a month to provide more guaranteed residual income to CQG even though the per trade rate stays the same but the quantity of trades you have to pay top rate for increases. Very frustrating way to be treated (instead of just not having those features at all to taunt you with). I already knew about CQG One and intended to upgrade to it eventually. Having to do so prematurely when they want me to instead of when I'm ready to is dissapointing. Especially when the upgrade path is unclear but most likely separate billing and possibly less integrated with broker. Platform changes are painful - especially for small accounts that can just barely afford CQG Desktop in the first place. Why not just charge me double per trade to be able to use an advanced feature currently blocked by server settings on CQG Desktop? Two blocked advanced features - three times as much. You'd probably make more than forcing upgrade (which courts the possibility of customer loss: QST can be switched to as well). Sure the goal of getting people to upgrade to CQG One may never be accomplished for some (who probably aren't a good match for it anyway). Guaranteed residual income may be delayed across the board. But if I'd rather lose more money to you out of sheer upgrade avoidance why not provide an overpriced path to my satisfaction where I can pay you ten times the monthly cost of CQG One in the meantime? That just works. And continues to work when you log back in. Even if many accounts don't quite make you as much every month as the price of CQG One but the overall revenue is higher (which is a natural outcome of satisfying the customer over yourself). Yes I would happily pay double fees on all trades every month for that one implemented feature you're blocking me from on CQG Desktop (I'll see your higher charge on each daily statement - talk about an effective reminder to upgrade). Please help us upgrade to CQG One.”
“I think it's great but it needs a reverse position tab and on android - there is a problem that the b MKT and s MKT tabs are highlighted green and red but I'd also expect the other inside tab to be highlighted also but doesn't show up on my cell! please check - but if i install a weblink on my cell the colour backgrounds show up but on via the app!”
“I find the bracket orders a little confusing to set up initially compared to other platforms. But overall I like it and like that I can customize the space pretty easily. I don't get why we call the DOM the Hot order or whatever, I just want simplicity to pull up the DOM but maybe I haven't explored enough. I trade the VX Futures so it is slower more of a swing trade, I think I would find it hard to rapidly scalp or day trade on this platform.”
