Steep learning curve, hard to configure/customize it becomes a powerful tool when you do. There are parts of platform that are kind a outdated - especially Alerting and custom VP drawing, but overall excellent tool.

Learning curve is a bit long. Writing code in C++, also learning curve. However, rock.solid. light-weight, good support, value hard to beat. DOM is capable as any on market .

Good: You are able to replicate every feature present in other platform using toolbars and ascil, personally I've built by own dom price column, volume column etc as an ascil study. What you can make is near limitless especially with standard GDI+ drawing being used. Bad: Menu diving can be quite extensive for new users

I've used a number of platforms over the last 20 yrs. SierraChart is by far my favorite. Charting is insanely customizable. Creating your own studies (Indicators) is also easy and simple. No need to get into coding unless you want to. Executing trades on a chart is simple and fast. Using the customizable hotkeys with a programmable keypad is fantastic if you are a fast in-out scalper. The Teton data from Sierra is very fast and reliable. Yes there is somewhat of a learning curve but if you want a superior platform give SierraChart a month or two and you won't be going back to using handicaped platforms.
