“It looks like it was coded in the 1980s. Everything is so damn complex with a billion buttons to click to do anything. However .. with all that said.. it can do basically anything.. and since no 2 traders are alike.. that is MASSIVE. Want a different color? Done. Want it to calculate some variable only known to you and color the bars based on that variable? Done. Basically anything you want .. it can do. So while it's the worst looking, it's by far and away the best trading platform in the world . And I've tried a few.”
“Sierra Chart is the best trading software I have ever used. It's extremely customizable and anything you can possibly imagine that you would need from your charting software, it has. Performance and reliability at an affordable price point.
That said, it has a steep learning curve. It is definitely not a plug and play experience. However, if you're willing to deep dive into the experience that is Sierra Chart, it is absolutely worth the time.”
“Sierra chart is missing is a risk management tool similar to that of Rithmic. The UI could be more intutitive with regards to chart window resizing/scrolling. Think tradingview, etc. The denali data and teton order routing have been extremely reliable.”
