“Excellent barrel and very accurate. What I expected from Faxon and thank you to Arm or Ally for getting items in stock and available. Shipped fast and no hassles. Will be a repeat customer.”
“The 9" Faxon. 300 BLK Match barrel is 1 thing shy of perfect. Dimpled for gas block would be great but other than that. Excellent! So far it is very accurate for its shorter length. Coupled with a VG6 brake/comp combo helps. More rounds will tell the tale but don't foresee any issues.”
“Never got to shoot it because it won't fit in my Aero upper. Turns out Faxon specifically makes their barrels to fit super tight, and recommends heating the upper with a hair dryer and cooling the barrel in the freezer before installation. I'm annoyed that this little quirk wasn't mentioned anywhere, because it makes the barrel completely incompatible with any QD barrel system, which is the whole point of my build.
If you intend to use one barrel, permanently fixed, I'm sure this barrel will do a fine job for you. I'm giving it a low rating because of un-advertised compatibility issues resulting from an intentional design feature. And I also think the concept of having to shrink-fit is unnecessary and annoying to begin with.”
