“I purchased this barrel for a future rifle build. I have been very impressed with the performance of the 5R rifling pattern in another firearm I built. It is in 416R S/S (Bright finish), but I had been unable to find another at the same price point until I found Faxon produces barrels with the 5R pattern. I actually like the black finish on this barrel even though I previously chose the raw bright finish. I only build 16" Mid-gas configurations. So this fits perfectly in my repertoire. I would be happy to update this review after the build if you can wait for it.”
