“Great choice for loading lots of target/plinking ammo at one time. Uniform size/weight and low costs per round when used with range brass. I've fround this bullet works best in 1911 style .45's, but not so well on 2311 style double-stack pistols - not sure why. This bullet penetrates well, but does not mushroom and jacket does not separate from lead core. Wax coating makes them a little slippery when handling/loading into brass casings. I've gone through about 4,000 rounds and this is my favorite style of Berry's bullet for .45 target/practice shooting. I prefer it over other Berry's bullet styles - solid round nose, hollow-base round nose and target hollow point bullets, with Silhouette or Accurate No. 2 powders. 3" group @ 30 yards with red-dot sights on Sig or Kimber 1911 .45. Give 'em a try!”
“I've found the Berry's Hybrid HP a very economical & accurate round to use in 1911 style pistols - with Accurate No 2 or Silhouette Powders (Bullseye is accurate, but dirty/gritty). I've tried Berry's round nose/flat nose/hollow point target bullets and prefer the Hybrid because it's seems to be more accurate. It does not mushroom as well as some other brands, but this is a great target/practice bullet that's economical to use, when buying 500/1000 bullets at a time.”
“Order of 500 Berry's .45 cal. 230 grain Hollow Points arrived on time, properly packed, left on doorstep by FedEx. Uniform color, size, weight of bullet - good for plinking/target practice. I like hollowpoints to shoot at steel plates, because I don't seem to have roccochets like round nose bullets. They feed well up loading ramp as round nose bullets, but you may have to seat them slighly deeper into brass to prevent jaming. Give 'em a try & I don't think you'll be dissapointed.”
