“The threading on this barrel wasnt done correctly. Its extremly difficult to thread anything onto it and the intended flash hider will only go on 1/2 way... even while applying significant torque. This flash hide fits on other 1/2x28 barrels. I had to order another barrel to replace it.”
“The barrel is a steel for the money. The barrel was in spec and well machined. We put the barreled upper on a full auto class three lower and broke it in that way lol. We also ran several mags of wolf through it with no hiccups or problems. For the price you really can't go wrong.”
“I ultimately had to replace this barrel. When attempting to install a muzzle device I could only get about 2 or 3 threads before it bound up and got extremely tight. I replaced the muzzle device and had the issue all over again. My final effort was to use a 1/2×28 Die and Resize the threads. This seemed to be working until my die handle broke.
Upon deeper inspection I discovered the major diameter of the threads was about
.500-.504. According to most manufacturers blue prints for muzzle threads, the major diameter should be .497-.492. With that being said it's not wonder I had such a hard time. I made the company aware of my issue and they said they would look into it so perhaps the problem children will have been pulled out but buyer beware just in case. Have calipers handy and measure threads before you install this barrel so you can return it if it is out of spec.”
