“If this review was strictly for the part itself, it would be 5-stars. Aero Precision hardware is tough to beat for quality and reliability.
My problem lies in the fact that I ordered it on 10/12/2017. Monmouth shipped the wrong part to me (as wrong as you could get, really...a receiver in Flat Dark Earth with a forward assist), which arrived on 10/16/17. I spent the next 7-days trying to get in contact with ANYONE at Monmouth in the hopes of getting the correct receiver - emails and voice mails (seriously...there's no one there who can answer a phone...?) going unanswered. Finally, on the seventh day, I was able to make contact with one of the owners via Facebook, of all places, and he was able to put a plan in action to get me the right part, which I now have on 10/26/17.
Credit to Monmouth for eventually making it right, but it took far too long in getting done.”
“This is the 2nd slick side Aero upper I've used. Both fit perfectly with Colt lowers and Colt barrels. This is probably the easiest and cheapest way to save 2oz on your build. It also makes using the right side of an ambi charging handle easier and less painful since there's no forward assist to get in the way or drag your knuckles against.”
