“Then fit and finish is second to none! In mocking everything up, the barrel is very tight which suggests that this rifle should be quite accurate. Love the threaded forward assist pin in plafe of the standard roll pin - a touch of blue threadlocker and an Allen wrench is all you need to install the forward assist, and you won't risk chipping the cerakote either! Also, put the ejector port cover on before mounting the barrel - the hole at the back isn't drilled all the way through, and the barrel nut will not allow for mounting. Good thing is that you don't need to remove the tiny C-clip to mount it!
One thing to notice - the coating on the inside makes the action loud. Like, scraping rocks together loud. Over time I expect it will wear down smoother and quiet down though, and if it were a standard black hard anodized upper it'd likely never have that issue. I plan to work this rifle like a rented mule, so time will tell.”
