“These guys definitely had the best price of those having these in stock. The 100 rds I ordered didn't come in a normal bullet box, but a small plastic bag with an insert giving manufacturer and bullet info. The bullets I ordered were well packaged, but the plastic bag containing the bullets had split during shipment so when I opened the package, bullets fell out all over the place. Just be careful when opening if you order bullets from here. The .22 caliber 70 grain were packed the same way, but that bag didn't break. Not a deal breaker, but be aware.”
“I couldn't find a better price for these anywhere. Now for some load development. Seems they don't like the charge I developed for the Nosler custom competition.”
“The vendor shipped the product in a timely manner. Take note that it is bulk packaged in a plastic bag, not the typical box as you would buy off the shelf in a retail outlet. That said, the price was very attractive. The product was comparable to other bullets in this weight class. Performance in my rifle was very close to the Sierra SMK. Using Varget, the velocity produced with the Nosler was almost identical to the SMK. Testing has only just begun but preliminary results are 1/2 to 3/4 MOA in my rifle. If the B.C. proves to be as advertised, and lot to lot consistency is confirmed, this could become my go to bullet for the 308”
“Couldn't get 175 gr SMK's to work with Varget in my 20" RPR, so I thought I'd give these a try. Not easy to find yet at Monmouth they were $0.28 each SHIPPED for 500. COAL to the lands on my RPR is 2.955. I tried them at 2.865 which is as long as I could get them in my mag. That's a lot of jump but I've read they are forgiving. But they weren't that forgiving. But I knew I was on to something with 44.2 gr Varget. Loaded up a bunch at 2.935 (0.02 off the lands) which I load singly. Push them 2660 out of the 20 (its a fast barrel) with an SD around 7 and 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups at 100. The longest targets at my range are a 12" at 800 and an 18" at 900. Provided I make the right wind call and do my part, they are sitting ducks. The bullet OAL length and weight are incredibly consistent, as is the ogive and resulting seating depth. And the G7 of 0.270 is for real. Even though I have 300 left, I was just swinging by to grab another 500 at this price and thought I'd leave a review”
“Monmouth had these bullets in stock when no one else did. Fast shipping. I have loaded some but have not had the opportunity to shoot them. Bullet weights were very consistent in the random ones I weighed.”
