“Have not used this BCG for my .450 Bushmaster build however, the first thing that grabbed my eye is how thin the wall is on the bolt face. I understand why, this .450 case is twice the size of the .223 but we are using the same upper receiver and pretty much the same BCG. so the bolt face wall between the case rim and the splines is minimal. 1st thought that comes to mind, will it crack since it is thinned.
The DLC coating is pretty slick and I hope it lives up to its claim of being better than Nickel Boron”
“Very high quality. Seems like Toolcraft is putting out some of the best value BCG’s out there. Finish is perfect. Coating is smooth as silk. Cycles nicely. Properly staked.”
“This is my first experience with DLC coating. I did a bunch of research and figured I'd give it a try. Folks, this coating is and does everything they say it does! First, this BCG is a beauty and is silky smooth. I tried marking, scratching, scraping and cutting the surface with a good, sharp pair of scissors. No marks, scratches or scraps could be seen - nada! I did end up ruining a good pair of sharp scissors in the process, but it proved the point that the DLC coating will hold up against the wear and tear. I used to be a big Nitride guy, but it looks like the DLC will be my coating of choice from here on out. This BCG is very easy to clean and I have no doubt will give me thousands of rounds of shooting pleasure.”
