It gets cold here in Michigan! I put the Thermal Jacket on my YS640 and proceeded to smoke a bone in pork loin. The outside temperature was about 20 degrees and the wind was blowing pretty good. The temperature inside the smoker stayed extremely steady. The roast came out perfect. If you cook in a freezing climate, I highly recommend the Thermal Jacket!

Already can see the benefit of the blanket. Keeps the heat tighter within a range. I was concerned with the heat to my back wall on my deck. This blanket makes heat against the wall at bay, and, really, a non issue.

We don't have a history of wicked cold, but we soon will. Temps in the teen always interrupted my smoking -- but no longer. Smoked a shoulder during 20 degree weather and only added about 30 minutes to a 12 hour cook -- well worth the few extra pellets! Wish i had purchased it sooner!
