“Living in the Midwest, winters get cold.. If you smoke often, this thing will pay for itself in pellets saved. Wish it came in another color, this light gray doesn't stay looking pretty for long, no matter how much you try to keep it clean.”

“Fits well, easy to install and seems to help a lot with warming up and holding temps when it is cold outside. First cook was a large packer brisket. Started just before bedtime on a frosty night and cooked for 16 1/2 hours. Still had a lot of pellets left over and the brisket was delicious.”

“This thing definitely helps keep the temperature up and not use as many pellets....it's a must have for a person living in a cold climate that uses their grills a lot in the winter”

“One reviewer said it doesn't play well with the drawer option. That's not the case for me. The lower cover stops just short of the drawer and doesn't affect its use at all. Easy to put on for smoking or take off for searing. More stable temps and already notice about 15-20% reduction in pellet use.”

“Very pricey, but great product that looks good too. Used much less pellets after installing it. Comes with one hole for temperature gage - should be made with two and leave it up to user to use both or not. I ended up using a brass grommet kit to be able to use it with my dual thermometers”

“Purchased this for my 640. Instantly noticed a difference. The smoker came up to temp much faster and leveled off quicker in sub freezing temperatures. Living in Minnesota this was a must. The quality is amazing and feels like it will last a long time.”
