“I would definitely recommend it. The staff are very friendly, funny and welcoming, nothing was a big deal. I was impressed by the orderliness and the abundance of food for everyone. I am going again for months with my son and we are looking forward to it. Congratulations to the owners for running a customer-focused company and hiring great staff.”
“My best experience in Australia. Good crew, good boat, everyone at their leisure and for the sake of the team, I have now been transformed into scuba diving and I will do more, scared before going down. 5 stars by all means. Thank you very much.A very high value for money where you have to pay for a big family like ours. Thank you for making our experience memorable üíñ”
“The best boat ride was to two different coral reefs. The boat was very clean and had everything you could wish for.
Excellent experience. RECOMMENDED. We took another trip with another operator and found Down Under very high in service, boat cleanliness and professionalism. Thank you.”
“Just got back from this trip and must say I am of mixed feelings. From the second you boarded this vessel you were pestered like a Carnival Cruise by a photographer who was in your face wanting to take your picture. I politely declined and said I'm not here to pose and just wanted to enjoy my day.
Now we leave the docks and the trip begins in some somewhat choppy weather. As we navigate to our first dive, the water start to get choppier. We dock, then we dive and snorkel for almost 3 hours. The snorkelling was fantastic. Lunch is laid out while we are there - unlike the trip we took in Airlee Beach on a sail boat nothing is free. Pop and beer are available at a cost. Fair enough. We did get free coffee and tea.
As the three hours came to a close the weather had turned rather poor. Heavy rain and water that became very rough and choppy. As I looked around I could see many people becoming ill from the motion sickness. While the staff we there there didn't seem to much concerns for their well being.
Finally dive 2 - and the trip back. Choppy weather again and more people sick. What bothered me immensely is their focus on getting money (constantly asking people to pay for using a wetsuit etc.....) over and over and over instead of looking after the customers.
The crew was great - I do blame this not on them but on the process of the collection of the money. Maybe next time show a little more concern for those sick and less on the mighty dollar.”
