Snorkeling not ideal as a big group, I'd rather have had some freedom to snorkel

Moreton is beautiful but the trip itself has a lot of room for improvement, maily the scheduling which resulted in significantly shorter time spent on the island and doing activities. Our ferry to the island was late. Fair enough that's not provider's fault but still we lost some time on the island. The lunch and kayaking were fine and nice but snorkeling felt rushed and as we had to stay in a big cluster group there wasn't any chance to individually explore and see much more then other people's fins. The worst part came afterwards. We hopped on a bus to go inland and do sand tobogganing but quite soon we were forced to stop and wait for half an hour as a car in front of us got stuck in the sand. This repeated several times and when we finally got to the desert we had to run in order to have at least one slide each and were not permitted to do more as the return ferry was waiting. Again, other stuck cars are not provider's fault but since that problem must be very common there (we had to wait at least 6 times on that single trip), the provider should take it into consideration when planning their adventure trips. We chose this most expensive option from all Moreton island trips specifically because it offered the sand tobogganing and in the end we almost didn't get to enjoy it at all. I've done several day trips at the East coast of Australia and this one was easily the worst due to bad organization.

Overrated. Ratio price/experience and organisation very bad. Rougly 50 people in the same bus and ferry. You wait almost 45 minutes at the bus terminal so they can give you a form to fill one by one. This can be filled online before the meeting point OR please have 10-20 pads and penn ready so every one can fill at the same time ! Change of hours for pick up from 5:30AM to 8:45AM last minute. Bad communication - We did not get any explanation about the day/where to gather/ presentation of the ''guides'' before 11:00 - once on the island. No explanation AT all during the bus ride / ferry ride neither during the activities. This is a self-guided kayak and snorkelling tour. There are too many people per guides (roughly 2 for 15-20 people) so they were quite busy with the few people unable to kayak or snorkel on their own. Ive learned nothing about the island. Main goal to book this tour was to have access to the 4WD desert ride. The second group got last with the bus driver so the third group of the day to do the activities (including me) did not have the chance to go to the dunes. No refund for not being able to provide the activities I paid for despite this is their fault. Seems appealing as many activities on the schedule. However, the beach and snorkelling sites is just next to the ferry. There are absolutely no point of booking a tour if your can reach the Brisbane ferry terminal by yourself.

Nice trip and friendly guides. A but more time to chill at the beach would have been great.

I can highly recommend this tour. First I was a little afraid because I got picked up with round about 50 others, but they cut the group into 4 or 5 smaller groups for each activity. It was worth every penny for me. My highlight was the snorkeling and the sandboarding.
