Dan, our tour guide was a perfect mix of comical and informative. I very much enjoyed his extensive knowledge on the rock art and his enthusiasm for the entire day. 10/10 tour!

The day trip was fantastic and Dan our tour guide was very informative and could answer all questions, if I had a negative it was my pickup and drop of point as was a long way from where I was staying would have been easier if I made my way to a pick up point in Darwin city

Friendly knowledgeable guide Dan made the day enjoyable, stopping to point out wildlife. Boars, birds including two endangered species and of course the crocs. He also provided lovely lunch and snacks and drinks. More time spent on bus than off which did detract from the experience. The two destinations visited were interesting but I thought there would be other stops too. 13hrs is a Long way to go for two attractions. Both are worth seeing however. We were fortunate to see lots of wildlife along the east alligator river cruise which is quite a long cruise. Shame about boat hassles which caused 45min delay in a hot location with lack of shelter areas to wait. Roman our boat driver was quite the character but did offend passengers with profanity and rude manner. I was expecting a different style tour having booked with backpacker deals and not AAT kings but it was a mature persons tour and not very active. Would recommend staying overnight in Jabiru and then seeing more on a second day like the waterfalls and swimming holes to break up all the travel.

We were so lucky to get Deb as our guide. She’s knowledgeable, articulate and coherent at all times and fun to chat with. The smaller bu and smaller group is so much more enjoyable. It was a very long day but filled with enjoyment, allowing us to experience the beauty, the dangers and the pristine Areas of Kakadu. Add to that the caring of fellow travellers and Deb, I missed nothing, while wearing my moon-boot and aided by crutches , I did it all. Thanks Backpackers. I’ve booked another trip with you.
