“I really enjoyed this tour. First time to Kakadu and it was well worth it. Guide was informative and professional. Lunch was great and really enjoyed the river tour. No crocodiles but that was ok. Long day but worth every minute.”
“access to all the interesting points a dirt road and was closed, even though it was a ‚Äúdry‚Äù rainy season. Road closures are too late in the market which makes them very frustrating. Jabiru is basically a ghost town. You should only visit this place if your view of the park is driving for a few hours with a landscape-like savana with no hope of seeing anything interesting. Overcrowding does not begin to define this park. Add to that, the rental of car rental companies in NT, so if have money to spend on this, maybe just take a great flight and do something else after that”
“The bus was comfortable. The journey was long but very interesting. Choose to pay extra on a flight via Kakadu Air. James, our pilot, was beautiful, and seeing Kakadu in the air gave us a whole new perspective. Lunch was plentiful. Rock carvings in Nourlangie were to be seen.”
“I found out that Kakadu was overcrowded, one of the ways we wished we could have been locked, obviously someone forgot to open the gates ... it was still locked in the afternoon. Long drive to make the trip, the hot road in October ... winter can be better. All in all we found Litchfield National Park to be much better. We would stay for three nights but only two.”
“My team used their WiFi to buy a passport to enter the park. However, no one asked to see the passport. Most of the KNP visitors we spoke to were completely unaware of the pass. KNP does not accept matching card. I am sure the KNP is beautiful and culturally attractive, but it is clear that in a wheelchair it is nothing.”
“A beautiful day tour of Litchfield National Park and waterfalls. Our driver / guide was Marieta and she was very nice, efficient and friendly. Marieta was very good at explaining what we would see and what we could do at every stop. We never felt rushed in any position and had a lot of time. Lunch is included in Wangi Falls and we have 2hrs which is enough time to dive into the water holes. Marieta made sure we all had full bottles of water at the whole stop as it was a very warm day (38deg). At our last stop at Howard Springs Nature Park, Marieta bought fish food to feed the barramundi and that was the best end of the day. Marieta also took people to the markets of Mindhil instead of their hotel which was a good thing to do. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone.”
“We took this bus trip from Darwin with the AAT Kings. The highlight was sailing on the Yellow Water billabong and Nourlangie Rock. All in all we traveled about 800km that day so it was a long day of what seemed to be very little to show you. Boating on the billabong was great and we saw jabiru and other species of birds and crocodiles, and our boater Woody was very funny and knowledgeable. Shame, and it has nothing to do with the AAT Kings, that sailing cannot show the magnitude of Kakadu. The option was to fly over Kakadu before the trip. That can give you a better idea of the Kakadu scale. The flight costs $ 250pp per 50 min flight and we regret not doing it. Nourlangie Rock and its rock art are easily accessible by designated route from the car park. Our driver Warren was very knowledgeable about art. Personally I love the stories behind the art, but the amount of art was small.”
