We were lucky as we had picture perfect weather - which just made this the most spectacular day!

The cruise was amazing. I did Milford sound just a day prior, and if you have the time and money, I would recommend to do both. Everything went very smoothly and in general I would recommend it to everyone :)

Good value for the days outing. Weather is difficult to predict the other side of mountains so you don't know if you will see breath taking views or clouds that just fill the sound. Will try again and hope for clear sky's

Wonderful trip during unseasonable Spring snowstorm. Everything was so well organised from check-in to return to base. Each aspect of the return 3-part journey - boat across Lake Manapouri, coach across Wilmot Pass and the actual Doubtful Sound cruise - was brilliant. Coach Driver Jonny made us feel very safe as he navigated the snow chained coach across the snowy mountain range. The cruise was awe inspiring. I'd like to return on a sunny blue sky day but being in Fiordland during a blizzard (at sea level) just made it so impressive. Lots of waterfalls and breaks in the storm allowed wonderful long distance views. Simply stunning!

The whole experience was magical. The scenery was incredible as were the hosts. Their commentary was interesting and relevant. We did not feel like a tourist but a visitor to their own backyards! So big ups to the staff for making the day even more memorable. We were lucky enough to head out into the Tasman sea at the end of the fiord. Wow. Would definitely recommend this incredible day to all our friends and family. Thanks

No adjectives to describe what a tanga this area is. Until you visit you can't understand the sheer size of these fiords and the cliff faces. We were lucky to see four groups of dolphins who put on a show. Excellent commentary from both boat and bus drivers.

The Doubtful Sound Cruise was AMAZING! Our travel guide/narrator enhanced the experience with his epic knowledge of the geology and geography of the region. His historical facts and biology information brought the tour to life. He asked for total silence to listen to the calling of the birds, lapping of the sea, and roaring of the wind and rain. Seeing the Tasman Sea again was emotional for me. It had been decades. It truly was a fabulous day.

The cruise was stunning, even with the bad weather. The crew were attentive and the commentary was an interesting mixture of nature and history. We came across a pod of bottle nose dolphins and the skipper diverted us so we could get a better view of them. Brilliant day and different enough from Milford Sound that it’s worth doing both
