“The pickup, and trip in and out were all good. The craft was well fitted-out and perfect for this trip. My issue was with the information given on the top deck on the way to the island. We were told to snorkel at Nudey Beach and also at Mate Beach near the rocks. We had a lovely time in the morning at Nudey Beach. We were not told that to access Mate Beach, go from near the jetty, not the rocks. We walked to the rocks along the beach and then tried to snorkel out. As the tide was dropping, we found ourselves marooned on the sharp dead coral. In attempting to get back to shore, I found myself up to my knees in dead coral which scratched me badly. After numerous medical appointments and not being able to swim for a week, the grazes finally subsided. So our adventure was good, but if unsure of where to swim, get clarification before setting out.”

“Fitzroy island was a lovely day out but unfortunately the boat journey was very wild in comparison to other trips we have taken which were a lot more calm. we were shocked our $105 trip did not include the use of snorkel equipment which was an additional $30 pp! Lunch was average, a sandwich, wrap, chocolate bar, apple and some water. There was nowhere to leave your snorkel equipment once you’ve taken it off the boat so you are stuck carrying it around all day once you are done with it. On a positive note staff were very friendly and informative.”
